Signed an agreement within the framework of the Council of Europe project “Intercultural Cities”

Bogdan Khmelnitsky Melitopol State Pedagogical University represented by Rector Anatolii Solonenko and the municipal institution “Melitopol Development Agency” Melitopol City Council of Zaporizhzhia region represented by Director Irina Slavova signed an agreement within the framework of the Council of Europe project “Intercultural Cities” “Implementation and Engagement of Diversity at the International Level”.

An agreement on cooperation in the framework of the international project has been signed.

Under the agreement, the Center for Sociological Research of the BK MSPU together with an international expert Kseniya Khovanova-Rubicondo plans to map the intercultural competence of the Ukrainian network of intercultural cities Lutsk, Melitopol, Pavlograd, Odesa, Sumy and the Austrian city of Ballarat; to develop tools and indicators for assessing intercultural competence; to conduct an evaluation study and a comparative analysis of research results to assess the impact of the project; and 4 trainings for public officers, social workers, representatives of national and cultural communities, the interfaith council of Christian churches, the Public Council under the Executive Committee, the police, forcibly displaced persons and the media.

The results of the project will be used by 140 cities (more than 30 countries), participants of the Council of Europe Intercultural Cities Program.
