Семінар 6. Міжнародний семінар «Ethical & Crisis Considerations in Education» зосередився на етичних викликах та освітніх практиках у кризових умовах
6 червня 2025 року у форматі онлайн відбувся міжнародний семінар «Ethical & Crisis Considerations in Education», організований у межах проєкту Enhancing the Participation and Ensuring the Right to Education for Children with Intellectual Disability: Developing Capacities and Opportunities (EPERE), № 00787/2024. Захід був присвячений етичним, соціальним та освітнім аспектам роботи з особами з інтелектуальними порушеннями в умовах криз і збройних конфліктів.
Семінар проходив на платформі Zoom з одночасним перекладом українською та англійською мовами, що забезпечило участь міжнародної аудиторії. Модераторкою семінару виступила професорка Anna Slozanska (Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, Ukraine).
У межах семінару було представлено доповіді, присвячені становищу осіб з інтелектуальними порушеннями в умовах збройних конфліктів, етичним аспектам професійної діяльності у сфері інклюзивної освіти, а також особливостям реалізації інклюзивних освітніх моделей у воєнний час.
Dr. David Treanor (University of Tasmania, Australia) зосередив увагу на соціальних та гуманітарних викликах, з якими стикаються люди з інтелектуальними порушеннями в умовах воєнних конфліктів, підкресливши значення захисту прав людини та доступу до підтримки.
Етичні аспекти роботи зі студентами з інтелектуальними порушеннями в освітньому середовищі були висвітлені у виступі Dr. Elżbieta Krecisz-Pilś, асистентки професора Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Poland). Доповідь акцентувала увагу на професійній відповідальності, дотриманні етичних стандартів та підтримці добробуту студентів у складних соціальних контекстах.
Питання переваг і викликів інклюзивної HyFlex-освіти та соціалізації в умовах війни були розкриті у спільній доповіді Assoc. Prof. Kateryna Bondar (Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study, Uppsala, Sweden) та Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Ukraine, з акцентом на український досвід організації освітнього процесу в умовах воєнних обмежень.
Семінар завершився підсумковою дискусією, під час якої учасники обговорили представлені підходи, поділилися професійним досвідом та окреслили напрями подальшої міжнародної співпраці.
Захід став важливою складовою серії міжнародних семінарів проєкту EPERE та сприяв поглибленню міждисциплінарного діалогу щодо етичних і кризових вимірів інклюзивної освіти.
International Seminar “Ethical & Crisis Considerations in Education” Addressed Ethical Challenges and Educational Practices in Times of Crisis
On June 6, 2025, an international online seminar entitled “Ethical & Crisis Considerations in Education” was held within the framework of the project Enhancing the Participation and Ensuring the Right to Education for Children with Intellectual Disability: Developing Capacities and Opportunities (EPERE), Reference No. 00787/2024. The seminar focused on ethical, social, and educational issues related to working with individuals with intellectual disabilities in crisis and conflict-affected contexts.
The event was conducted via the Zoom platform with simultaneous interpretation into Ukrainian and English, enabling broad international participation. The seminar was moderated by Professor Anna Slozanska (Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University, Ukraine).
The seminar featured presentations addressing the situation of people with intellectual disabilities in armed conflicts, ethical dimensions of professional practice in inclusive education, and the implementation of inclusive educational models under wartime conditions.
Dr. David Treanor (University of Tasmania, Australia) focused on the social and humanitarian challenges faced by people with intellectual disabilities in armed conflicts, emphasizing the importance of human rights protection and access to appropriate support services.
Ethical considerations in working with students with intellectual disabilities in educational settings were discussed by Dr. Elżbieta Krecisz-Pilś, Assistant Professor at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (Poland). The presentation highlighted professional responsibility, adherence to ethical standards, and the importance of safeguarding student well-being in complex social contexts.
The advantages and challenges of inclusive HyFlex education and socialization in wartime conditions were addressed in a joint presentation by Assoc. Prof. Kateryna Bondar (Swedish Collegium for Advanced Study, Uppsala, Sweden) and Kryvyi Rih State Pedagogical University, Ukraine, with a particular focus on the Ukrainian case.
The seminar concluded with a final discussion, during which participants reflected on the presented perspectives, shared professional experiences, and identified opportunities for further international cooperation.
The event formed an integral part of the EPERE international seminar series and contributed to strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue on the ethical and crisis-related dimensions of inclusive education.
